Fans have shared their delight after Mrs Brown's Boys star Danny O'Carroll shared some great news about the show's Christmas special.
The actor, who plays Buster in the hit show, confirmed filming for the beloved special will be going ahead.
Production on films and TV shows across the world was halted as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
But it has finally been confirmed that the BBC show will be able to go ahead with its Christmas special - although there is unlikely to be an audience.
Danny told his 80,000 followers on Twitter: "Just got the shooting dates for Mrs Browns Boys Christmas Specials. WE'RE BACK!"
And the announcement provoked a huge reaction on social media, with fans flooding in to share their delight.
Popular rugby ref Nigel Owens hailed the "great news", while vocalist Matt Hoy asked Danny to try and get him on the show.
One fan wrote: "Yesssss great news Christmas would not be same without it only laugh you get on TV and with Covid we need all the laughing we can get."
While another added: "All the best with it. Thank God something about Xmas will still be normal, by God do we all need a laugh!"
