Fans can't get enough of Brian Kerr as new documentary premieres on Virgin media

Fans couldn't get enough of Brian Kerr tonight as the first episode of his new documentary on Virgin Media aired.

Episode one of the new Virgin Media documentary aired tonight after Manchester United's 3-1 loss to PSG at Old Trafford.

'Brian Kerr: A life in Football' sees Virgin media presenter Tommy Martin interview the former Ireland boss about his life, particularly his life in football.

And viewers were loving tales of playing against the Soviet Union at the 1984 European Youth Championships, a spat with Jack Charlton and managing St. Patrick's Athletic.

One fan said: "I could listen to Brian Kerr rambling along here all night".

Another added: "Brian Kerr, a good man to tell a story".

"Love Brian Kerr’s passion, how is he not involved in the Irish set up?".

In the documentary, Kerr described his struggles to get behind Ireland under Jack Charlton's style of play.

Kerr said: "For someone who had grown up watching Ireland play and loved whenever we won an international match, because they were hard won in those days, I enjoyed the fact that we were winning matches.

"But I abhorred the style of football given the quality of players available to Jack with the emergence of Ronnie Whelan and Mark Lawrenson along with players of the calibre of Liam Brady and Frank Stapleton."
