Fans baffled by Jermaine Jenas' Man of the Match choice as Man City beat Watford to claim the treble

Football fans up and down the country have been left scratching their heads after Jermaine Jenas named Kevin De Bruyne as his Emirates FA Cup final Man of the Match.

Jenas made his selection towards the end of Manchester City's emphatic 6-0 win over Watford at Wembley - despite the fact the Belgium didn't enter the pitch until ten minutes into the second-half.

City were already leading 2-0 at that point thanks to first-half goals from David Silva and Gabriel Jesus - before a Raheem Sterling brace and strikes from Jesus and De Bruyne completed the record-equalling rout.

The win means City have become the first men's side in English football to complete a domestic treble, but despite Guardiola's side being history makers, fans opted to reflect on the former Newcastle man's choice for Man of the Match afterwards.

One viewer tweeted: "The crowd as mystified as the viewers by Jenas' ludicrous man of the match selection."

Another posted: "Jermaine Jenas is a horrendous pundit, commentator and even worse at picking Man of the Match award."

Eagle-eyed fans spot something different about Man City's FA Cup final kit vs Watford
