Fans at Download Festival report 'horrendous' 40-minute bar queues

Revellers have blasted 'horrendous' bar queues at Download Festival - with some saying it took them more than 40 minutes to get served.

The festival is underway at Donington Park and one fan said they had 'given up' and they had 'never been so sober'.

Tim Smith said: “Disaster in the RIP bar, been waiting 40 minutes for a drink, paid extra for this and it’s a disgrace.

“Just given up. I’ve never been so sober."

“Seems we have a choice whether to spend our time watching live music or spend 40 minutes queuing at the bar," Ian Wood tweeted, reports Derbyshire Live.

"What is going on?”

Simon David Smith added: “What’s going on with the bar queues this year? They are never rapid, but it’s a slow crawl this year."

One fan said they even missed out on seeing bands because of the queues.

@juffery tweeted: "Lads, what’s going on with the bars this year?

"The queues are horrendous. Currently been standing in queue for Bar 2 for 45 minutes. Missed Man with a Mission’s entire set. #omnishambles."
