LeBron James has been a Laker for about a year and a half now, but it would be hard to find a moment where he looked more beloved than he did during Tuesday night’s blowout victory over the Memphis Grizzlies to help the Lakers move to 3-1 for the first time since 2010-11.
Obviously the crowd loved the score but with yesterday being Tuesday, the Lakers faithful had something else on their mind: LeBron’s favorite day of the week, Taco Tuesday. The entire Staples Center crowd got into the act last night but one group of fans sitting close to the Lakers bench got LeBron to indulge in his full routine for the camera. The result did not disappoint.
It goes to show you how much better things can be when you’re winning. Now that the Lakers are once again tasting the feeling of success, Taco Tuesday’s may be a little more savory for them moving forward.
James also made sure to put his enthusiasm for the day to a good cause, sending a taco truck to first responders who are dealing with the Getty Fire in Los Angeles that forced James and his family to evacuate their home in the wee hours of Monday morning.
