Fans aren't happy with Sky Sports for coverage of Brentford vs Leeds United and Swansea City vs QPR

Football fans are a hard bunch to please at the best of times, but when it comes to TV schedules and coverage, things can get even more heated.

This evening's match between Swansea City and QPR has been chosen by Sky Sports as their main event, meaning that the game at the Liberty will be their featured tie of the night.

That hasn't gone down well with Leeds United and Brentford fans - and football supporters in general - who feel that the big play-off clash between the Londoners and Marcelo Bielsa's side should take centre stage.

The Griffin Park fixture will still be accessible to punters on Sky's red button service, but that hasn't appeased those who believe the top-six clash should get the full broadcasting treatment.

The truth is the fixtures were chosen for television a while ago, with Sky announcing Swansea vs QPR as their televised game on January 6.

The match in SA1 is far from meaningless for Swansea boss Steve Cooper and Co, who still hold out hope of making the Championship play-offs come the end of the season.

Swansea currently sit ninth, four points adrift of sixth-placed Preston. A win against Mark Warburton's men in South Wales this evening could see them move up one place and exert pressure on those above them in the race for the Premier League.
