Fans are reading into RJ Barrett trying on a Knicks hat during a ‘Tonight Show’ segment

We’re officially in “reading the tea leaves” mode before the 2019 NBA draft on Thursday night, and New York Knicks fans are looking for a sign about who the team will take with the No. 3 pick.

It seems like Duke forward R.J. Barrett could be the target, as most experts have him has the third-best player available in the class, behind Zion Williamson and Ja Morant.

And maybe Barrett knows that’s possibly the case? Because earlier this week, while appearing on a Tonight Show segment, he jokingly tried a Knicks hat on.

Jimmy Fallon had future draftees Barrett, Darius Garland, Coby White, Jaxson Hayes and DeAndre Hunter shooting random objects into a hoop, including a mannequin head with a Knicks hat. Check out what Barrett did around the 3:35 mark:
