Ella Toone scored Manchester United 's late winner against Arsenal one month ago - but the magical moment was spoilt a little without being able to celebrate with her family.
The restrictions in attendances due to the pandemic meant they could not be there at the Leigh Sports Village to see the 21-year-old's strike secure all three points and put the Reds on the top of the Women's Super League table.
"It was a bit sad, to be honest," Toone told MEN Sport. "My dad's been to every football match [of mine], whether it be home, away, abroad so he was a bit gutted that he wasn't there, but I went back home and they had it replaying back on the telly so we watched it a good three times.
"They were all dead proud and I just can't wait for them to be back in the stadium for moments like that."
Fans are returning to WSL fixtures as from this weekend, when Casey Stoney's side face Aston Villa at the Bescot Stadium on Saturday (12.30pm kick-off).
"It's really exciting, we've missed them so much," said Toone. "They're a massive part of this football club and we've got a massive fan base. Sometimes they're our twelfth man on the pitch and they're just so loud and just get behind us as a squad as well so yeah, we've really missed them."
Villa are currently third from bottom of the WSL with their only points of the season so far coming from a win over Brighton last month. They are, however, not to be underestimated, according to Toone.
"They're an exciting team and they've got a lot of good players, so it's about us sticking to the game plan," she said. "It's going to be a good game."
