Fans all notice what Bernardo Silva did during Liverpool's guard of honour

Liverpool’s official coronation as Premier League champions began with a dismal 4-0 defeat to Manchester City on Thursday night.

The Reds mathematically secured the top flight trophy last week, but City set out to try prove a point at the Etihad Stadium.

The defeat cut Liverpool’s lead at the top of the table to 20 points with six league fixtures left to play.

Before the game, much debate was made over Pep Guardiola’s decision to give Liverpool a guard of honour as a show of respect to the new champions.

While the majority of the squad observed the gesture, fans have noticed one City player who took a different approach to the gesture.

Bernardo Silva was spotted in the guard of honour not clapping like the rest of his team mates, and even took a sip from his cup while the Liverpool players passed him.

It should be noted that Silva was not included in the starting line-up, and could possible be showing signs of irritation at not being named in the first XI.

The clip which circulated on social media prompted reactions from both Liverpool and Man City fans.

One Liverpool fan wrote: “This guy is way too big for his boots.”

While one City fan simply said: “What a guy!”
