Fancy getting paid to watch TV? Gogglebox applications are now open

Slumping on the sofa and watching the television is one of the nation's favourite pastime.

Well how about having the opportunity to get paid to do it?

Gogglebox bosses are looking for their next stars of the show - and applications are now open.

Huge personalities have shot to fame following their exposure on the show including I'm A Celebrity's jungle queen Scarlett Moffatt.

How much could you earn watching some cracking TV? How does a whopping £1,500 a month sound? Plus, you'll get a free takeaway of your choice when you are being filmed.

It is believed to be the first time bosses have advertised for people to be on the show, which involves watching a taped version of the week's telly with some yummy food, reports the Mirror.

How do I get involved, you ask? Simply drop an email to applyforgogglebox@studiolambert.com if you want the chance to be paid to watch telly.

Back in 2015, the show's creator Stephen Lambert said: "Everybody on Gogglebox has been found and persuaded to be on the show and I think that's the key to why they are likeable and why the show works, because we get to know these people

"We've never advertised for people on Gogglebox."

Looks like there is a first for everything.

Don't forget, the likes of Scarlett, Amy Tapper, Steph and Dom all hail from Googlebox - so it could also be your chance to become famous on the telly after watching the telly.

Good luck!
