'Fancy doing us a favour?' - Liverpool fans say the same thing ahead of Chelsea vs Man City

Liverpool are on the cusp of greatness.

The Reds moved to within just two points of sealing their very first Premier League title last night with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Anfield.

Goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold - a sublime free-kick, Mohamed Salah, a long-range pile-driver from Fabinho and Sadio Mane sealed all three points for Jurgen Klopp's men and left them within touching distance of laying their hands on their first league title in 30 years.

And, though it has looked a certainty for several months, Liverpool could be officially crowned 2019/20 Premier League champions this evening if Manchester City fail to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which would mean the Reds would be able to travel to the Etihad Stadium next Thursday knowing that they will have already got the job done.

Frank Lampard press conference ahead of Chelsea's game with Manchester City

Though Liverpool's players, understandably, would probably prefer to secure the title by registering another victory of their own, all eyes will be on Stamford Bridge this evening, as they know that they will secure the title if Frank Lampard's Blues, who will be hoping to build on Sunday's 2-1 success over Aston Villa at Villa Park, manage to avoid defeat and stop Pep Guardiola's side in their tracks.

For Liverpool's supporters, of course, regardless of whether the Reds win it via Chelsea's help or out on the pitch themselves, they will not be able to celebrate the historic achievement with the players and everyone else who has made their dream possible due to the social distancing restrictions in place.

Therefore, it appears as though the Reds' supporters want to seal the title as soon as possible, ideally tonight with the help of Chelsea, who still have to travel to Anfield before the season is out.

And following last night's game at Anfield, which saw the Reds dominate the contest from the very first whistle, a plethora of Liverpool fans have taken to social media to pleaed with Chelsea to play their part and seal the Reds' first league triumph since 1990.

Here is what some Liverpool fans had to say on Twitter...
