Fan's hilarious reaction after bumping into Normal People star Paul Mescal shirtless in London

A Normal People fan said he needed an ambulance after bumping into a shirtless Paul Mescal in London.

Normal People star Mescal was out for a run in central London rocking a chain like his character Connell and wearing no t shirt.

A fan spotted the Irish actor while out and about and shared her excitement on Twitter.

@Soranabanana tweeted: "I am deceased on the Hackney canal currently - Connell from Normal People just ran past me. Shirtless. Wearing that chain. Please call me an ambulance."

She then added: "Paul Mescal do you live in Clapton? Are we neighbours? Need to know, this is a public health issue."

Unfortunately Mescal didn't reply to the starstruck fan but does indeed reside in Hackney, London these times.

Mescal can barely leave his house anymore without being recognised due to the worldwide acclaim of Normal People.

The 12 episode series is one of the television success stories of 2020 and the Kildare actor has become a household name overnight.

He is being praised in particular for his acting when Connell has to deal with a friends suicide in the episodes set to air on RTE this Tuesday.

Viewers in the UK and USA who have already seen episode ten on the BBC iPlayer and Hulu streaming service have heaped praise on the Co Kildare actor for his searing breakdown performance.
