A man has been charged with throwing a hot drink at Rangers star Alfredo Morelos during the Ibrox side's win over Motherwell last month.
The 30-year-old suspect is due to appear in court in connection with the incident which took place during the Light Blue's 2-0 victory at Fir Park on Sunday, December 15.
The Colombian striker was sent off moments after the flashpoint as he picked up a second yellow cards for celebrating his clinching goal in front of the home fans.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police can confirm a 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an incident at the Motherwell v Rangers SPFL match on Sunday, 15 December, 2019.
"During the match, a hot drink was thrown at a player.
"The man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff court on the 29th January 2020."
