FAMS stroll at Strathclyde Park aims to educate young people on mental health and suicide awareness

A charity organisation is holding an event at Strathclyde Park this weekend for people affected by suicide.

The Let’s Walk and Talk event has been organised by FAMS (Families and Friends Against Murder and Suicide).

This year’s event aims to bring about changes in educating young people on good mental health.

A walk around the park will be preceded by a minute’s silence, and followed by activities, which include a Tea and Talk tent.

Joining the walk, which will commence at 2pm this Sunday, August 25, is optional.

There will be dozens of information stands and free refreshments on offer.

Dogs are also welcome and will have their own refreshment tent.
