Famous US Rapper Ice T slams frightening viral video of Irish child smashing into pole on scrambler calling adult a dumbf***

World famous rapper Ice T has slammed a viral video of an Irish child smashing into a pole on a scrambler over the Christmas period on his Twitter.

The video begins by showing the youngster being helped onto the scrambler by an adult.

The child takes off slowly at first before speeding off, losing control and crashing into the pole.

He can be seen getting back up almost straight away before the video cuts out.

Ice T described the adult who placed the child on the bike as a "dumbf***".

The rapper has sold over 10 million records in the US and in recent years has starred as NYPD Detective Odafin Tutuola on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

He sarcastically added that the adult must have thought "'he can ride a bike so he’s got this no problem'".

This year gardai and local authorities in Dublin had been urging parents not to buy their kids the motorised bikes for Christmas.

It follows a number of deaths and serious injuries in recent years involving the vehicles on public roads and spaces.

Chief Superintendent Paul Cleary of the Garda National Roads Policing Bureau said parents should be aware of the dangers of giving the bikes such as scramblers and quads as presents.

He said: "Members of An Garda Síochána do not want to be delivering devastating news to another family this Christmas so our message is clear; children and young teenagers should not be driving these vehicles in public, or without the necessary licence, insurance, safety equipment and supervision."

It is illegal in Ireland to ride such bikes anywhere other than on private land.

A post on the garda website says: "Quads, scramblers, electric scooters, buzz boards and minibikes (also known as mini-motos) are powered by a 22.5cc stroke engine. These motorised vehicles can do fast speeds. Motorised vehicle driving is restricted to off-road."
