A member of a popular parkour YouTube group with more than 11 million followers has admitted possessing nearly 3,000 indecent images of children.
Callum Powell, 34, who was part of the parkour collective Storror, pleaded guilty at Brighton Magistrates’ Court to making 2,932 child abuse images, including 178 Category A files — considered the most serious category.
According to The Sun, Powell also admitted possessing an image involving bestiality.
Storror, known for videos featuring dangerous stunts, rooftop jumps and parkour performances, has built a massive global audience across YouTube and Instagram. The group has also worked on film productions, including stunt work connected to a Netflix movie starring Ryan Reynolds.
Following Powell’s guilty plea, the remaining members of the group said they had removed him and described the offences as a “betrayal” and “appalling”.
Powell, from Brighton, was released on conditional bail ahead of sentencing scheduled for July.In a statement, the governing body Parkour UK condemned the offences and said safeguarding remained a top priority within the sport.
The organisation said the case was a “stark reminder” of the importance of vigilance and safeguarding measures across the parkour community.
Authorities have not publicly disclosed further details about the investigation that led to the charges.
