Famous parmo restaurant Manjaros has opened a dessert parlour in Newcastle

It's a place much more famous for its savoury dishes than its sweet - particularly a certain breaded chicken delicacy - but Manjaro's now has another string to its bow with the opening of its own dessert parlour.

Already long established in Middlesbrough, Manjaros opened its first restaurant in Newcastle to great excitement last summer, mainly because many Geordies had heard about, or already sampled its legendary parmos, and loved the fact that they were now right on our doorsteps.

But fast forward nearly 12 months and its not just over savoury tastebuds Manjaros are tickling as they have just launched their own dessert parlour in the upstairs of their Newcastle restaurant on Cross Street, near the Tyne Theatre.

It's only been open a few days but has already proved popular, particularly given it launched right on cue for the Easter holidays.
