Famous Loch Ness hotel with its own Nessieland and life-size monster on sale

Nessie lovers looking for a dream business opportunity might just have a 'monster opportunity' after a famous hotel on the banks of the mysterious loch was put up for sale. Loch Ness Lodge Hotel, which comes with a Nessie -themed tourist attraction, and is based in Drumnadrochit is looking for new owners.

Described as a "truly outstanding and extremely sought after location", Drumnadrochit is a much-loved tourist destination due to its close proximity to the home of the world-famous monster.

Situated on the main A82 Fort William to Inverness 'Great Glen Road' on the banks of Loch Ness, the 50-bedroom hotel is also home to the Nessieland attraction which offers guests a closer look at the history of the monster and even comes with a life-size replica of the legendary beast for people to get a quick photo with.

The Business Partnership have placed the hotel and Nessieland on the market for offers of around £2.25 million.

A great base to explore the Highlands, Nessie hunters can get close to the loch itself before heading out to the other wonderful attractions this part of the country has to offer.

According to the BP, the Nessieland visitor attraction is situated adjacent to the hotel and comprises of a Loch Ness souvenir gift shop, Nessie’s cave exhibition and other exhibits which explain the history of Loch Ness.

The city of Inverness is only 14 miles away, with the Bronze Age Clava Cairns and Culloden Battlefield also close by.

Dating back to the 18th century, the hotel also comes with 10 acres of grounds and its own bar and restaurant.

Simon Fraser of the Business Partnership told the Inverness Courier : "This delightful hotel dates back to 1740 and is set in 10 acres of spectacular woodland and offers 50, comfortable, well-appointed letting bedrooms.

"The Pibroch Bar and Restaurant offers dining for up to 30 covers along with the main dining area which can accommodate up to 100 guests and is open to both residents and non-residents."
