Coronation Street star Colson Smith has spoken of how Leeds United have been keeping him going during lockdown.
The actor, 22, who plays Craig Tinker in the iconic ITV soap, is a one of Leeds United’s many celebrity fans. He’s spoken of how watching Marcelo Bielsa’s side helped him earlier this year during the first coronavirus lockdown period.
Of course, it helped that the team ended their long Premier League exile.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Colson, said: “I watched my team, Leeds United, get promoted. It was a 16-year wait and because of Covid nobody was there to see it. Typical.”
Colson’s Corrie co-star Jack P Shepherd is also a massive Leeds United supporter. We hope the pair have been enjoying watching their team during this current lockdown.
