Famous Filipino restaurant is opening inside the former Lush on Whitechapel

Liverpool’s first Lush store on Whitechapel closed its doors for good last year ahead of its move to Church Street, where the world’s largest Lush now sits.

The store on Whitechapel, which sits between a Wetherspoons and outdoor clothing store Blacks, is now being transformed into a restaurant.

Filipino fast food chain Jollibee will replace Lush on Whitechapel, with signs already in place in the windows of the empty venue.

Jollibee is the largest fast food chain in the Philippines, with more than 1,150 stores nationwide, with Liverpool’s restaurant the second in the UK.

The chain also has branches in London, which opened in 2018.

Jollibee is best known for its Chickenjoy fried chicken, which is described as “crispylicious” and “juicylicious”.

The menu at Jollibee also features the Yumburger, the Bacon and Egg Pancake Sandwich, the Classic Jolly Hotdog, Jolly Spaghetti and even Creamy Macaroni Soup.

There is no confirmed opening date for Jollibee to open in Liverpool yet but we will bring you the latest updates as soon as we receive them.
