Famous Edinburgh nightclub to once again reopen this week as bar serving Civerinos pizza

One of Edinburgh's nightclubs has announced that it will finally be reopening its door after months of lockdown - but the dance floor will be out of action for just a wee while longer.

Sneaky Pete's on the Cowgate have shared the news that they will be once again operating as a bar which serves pizza from Civerinos while nightclubs are forced to remain shut for the foreseeable future.

Responding to the update on Instagram, one person said: "We're nearly home."

The iconic nightclub and music venue transformed to adapt to lockdown rules last summer as a restaurant/bar and fans of the space filled the booths nightly - so with bookings open for June 17 onwards we suggest you get on it sooner rather than later!

You can visit the Sneaky Pete's website to book your booth here.

Nightclubs in Scotland are not allowed to open even in Level 0 of lockdown so the city's discotheques have had to adapt and find new ways to operate.

City centre nightclub Bourbon has begun operating as a bar and has Edinburgh street food pop-up Ozen in residence every weekend while Tollcross nightclub ATIK has turned their dancefloor into a pub.
