Famous Dublin food gem fires shots at rival notorious White Moose Cafe and owner Paul Stenson

A famous South Dublin cafe has fired shots at its rival- the notorious White Moose Cafe and its often outspoken owner Paul Stenson.

Pip's Cafe and Deli checked in on Facebook at its Phibsborough competitor's premises as they scoped out the opposition.

The owner of the Crumlin breakfast roll institution was not intimidated by the White Moose's Café's large social media presence at all joking "Rumour has it Paul Stenson sleeps in a Pip's Café t-shirt, so we are here to investigate".

The Facebook post was met with excitement from many Dublin commenters.

One user said: "What are the odds."

Another said: "Can't wait for this one to blow up lol."

The owner of the White Moose Cafe had previously said that customers would have to undergo 'palm reading' to dine indoors this summer.

Paul Stenson said on Facebook: "Our in house guests have been eating inside since 2nd June, but now only people who have received the jab will be afforded this privilege.

"So, we are happy to play ball on this.

"As soon as the law is passed, we will be asking our guests to show us the palm of their hand when they arrive, once we read their palm, we will give them a wink and a nod and they'll be granted access to eat indoors."
