A "scumbag thief" who stole a Christmas present from the doorstep of a Scottish family's home has been caught on camera, and the raging family members want the person "named and shamed".
Shocking video footage shows the heartless grinch brazenly walk up to the front door of the residential home in Midlothian, in Scotland.
The hooded criminal then snatches the box from the door and walks off out of the garden, the Daily Record reported.
But they have been caught on camera and now raging family members are wanting the person "named and shamed".
Gary McCormack said the raid had happened at his mum's house and trainers she had bought him for Christmas had been nicked.
The 30-year-old welder said: "He is a total scumbag.
"My mum had got me some trainers for Christmas and they were waiting in a box at the door.
"As you can see in the video he just seemed to wait until the coast was clear and walked up and took them.
"For me the trainers are pretty irrelevant- I can buy new trainers if I need.
"What is upsetting is that it could have been a Christmas present for my three-month-old daughter Mia or my step daughter.
"It's not about the trainers- it is about a guy going round Bonnyrigg stealing Christmas presents from people's doorsteps.
"We want him named and shamed. He could be doing this again to other folk."
Gary's partner Steph posted on social media: "Does anyone know who this disgusting person is!
"Went up to my partners mum and dads house and stole a Christmas present that was left at the front door by Hermes.
"Do you feel it’s the perfect time of the year to go around stealing from peoples property’s!
"Absolute disgusting behaviour!"
