A family has told how they were surprised by a thoughtful gesture from McDonald's when a delivery came with a handwritten note from staff.
Deborah Busby said she had ordered a takeaway for her children Angel, 12, and Xan, 11, who live in St Helens, Merseyside.
The family ordered their food from the McDonald' in St Helens town centre and they ate the takeaway as normal, reported the Liverpool Echo.
It was only the following day that they discovered the note.
Deborah told the Echo: "When the delivery came, my son got to the door and gave Angel hers and she took it up stairs with the napkins.
"The next morning she spotted a note on a napkin saying 'Happy Halloween love McDonald's Casey, Mal, Hannah' and showed her brother which made them both smile.
"She then showed my husband Geoff. At first he thought Angel was playing a joke on us but I could tell it wasn't her hand writing."
Deborah said that she then posted the message online as she wanted to show her appreciation for what the McDonald's staff had done.
"I thought it was a lovely gesture and considerate thing that the young ladies had done. Such a personal touch, I then took to Facebook on the People of St Helens group to put up a post about it," she said.
Deborah says her daughter appreciated the gesture that much, she has now put the note and drawing away to "keep it safe".
Deborah added: "It's the simple things that count and make a big impact."
The post received a big response on Facebook, with many people applauding the McDonald's workers for their gesture.
One person commented: "That is so sweet.... the Parents can be proud of their children."
