Family share emotional tribute to 'bubbly' girl, 7, who died in road collision

The family of a seven-year-old girl who died after a collision have described her as “full of life and laughter, love and giggles” in a poignant tribute.

Eloise Jackson sadly died following a collision on A338 Church Street, Collingbourne Ducis, last Tuesday evening.

An emotional statement released through Wiltshire Police said she was nicknamed 'Fizzy' by her family because of her bubbly personality.

The full statement by parents Laura and James, and older sister Anaiis, said: "We cannot thank you enough, our wonderful friends, family and the community for supporting us through this terrible time.

“You are helping to create a legacy for Eloise that she would have been incredibly proud of.

“She loves, and still loves her pony, horses are a fundamental part of her existence. Therefore, as a family we have decided to donate the money to Greatwood, a charity which uses former racehorses to educate disadvantaged children and young adults with special educational needs.

“Eloise hated the thought of anyone struggling and found great comfort being around horses.

“How can we describe our Eloise? Her nickname was 'fizzy' as she had such a bubbly personality, full of life and laughter, love and giggles.

“The work has only just begun, with your help some good can come out of this tragic situation. Much love Laura, James and Anaiis xxx."

The family have asked that any donations in Eloise’s memory are made to the charity Greatwood via the following fundraising page.

Wiltshire Police’s investigation into the collision is continuing and we would ask any with information, who has not already spoken to officers, to call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference 54210067796.
