A Cardiff family have appealed for information to find a dad-of-two who has been missing since New Year's Eve. Aled Glynne Davies, 65, was last seen in the Pontcanna area of the city at around 11.30pm on Saturday, December 31.
Aled's family say he had been for a meal in Pontcanna, where he lives, earlier in the evening with his wife and was last seen at home afterwards before going out for a walk. His son Gruff said Aled may not have brought his regular medication with him when he left the house and was vulnerable as a result.
Issuing an appeal for information on his whereabouts on Sunday, Aled's family said his disappearance was "very uncharacteristic" of him. "He is loved by many, many people and there are a lot of the community out there looking for him," Gruff said.
Aled is described as being around six feet tall and wearing the dark green coat seen in the photo, a dark green hat and glasses when he was last seen. Gruff said family members and the community were continuing to look for him and that he has been reported missing to South Wales Police. "We really appreciate all the help that people have given so far," he said. "If someone sees him, we are asking them to ring 999."
