The family of Zac Higgins have shared an adorable picture of the toddler heading to watch the Ireland football team - just six months on from a horror hit-and-run.
Zac, from Mahon, Co Cork, was hit by a car while out playing near his home on March 25 and spent weeks in hospital.
And dad Paul Higgins has revealed that he brought the miracle three-year-old to see Ireland play Switzerland in the Aviva Stadium last night, Cork Beo reports.
Paul said that Zac is continually getting better but he still has some limitations since the accident.
Mr Higgins said: "He is physically excellent, mentally we just don’t know and won’t for the time being but he is making good strides."
Zac is huge a soccer fan who loves playing sports and will be a keen observer at tonight's game.
And there is still hopes in the family that someday he too will be back on playing fields in full health.
His dad said earlier this summer: "(My dream) is just to get my little boy back, back playing football and hurling and all those things he should be doing. "Hopefully, he's a fighter anyway."
