A heartbroken family have paid tribute to a 'doting' young dad-of-three following his sudden death last month. Adam Maqsood, 28, was found unresponsive at his home in Lancashire on April 24 and was later pronounced dead in hospital, LancsLive reports.
His death originally prompted a murder investigation after it was reported he had suffered injuries in an alleged assault in the early hours of that morning. But, following a post-mortem, police later confirmed that his death was not being treated as suspicious.
His older sister Steph Livesey said the dad of three young daughters and member of a large, well known local family, 'lived for his girls'. "He was a very doting father," she said.

"He had a heart of gold, my brother. He was genuinely caring; his daughters were his life and he was the apple of his dad's eye. He worked very hard for his family."
Steph, 39, said Adam, of Wordsworth Drive, Great Harwood, had really enjoyed working at Kays Traffic Management until he fractured his back, and had to give up the job about a year ago. She said he enjoyed going fishing and gardening with her husband, Will.
His sister said Adam, a former pupil of Norden High and Great Harwood Primary schools, was one of six children. "Adam was born and died in the same house on Wordsworth Drive," she said.
"He was a very happy child surrounded by an enormous family all the time. On holidays mum took us to Australia and Pakistan and we were very lucky as children to have the parents that we have.
"He was a bit mischievous as a kid but in a good way, and he had a lot of friends. I've never heard a bad word about my brother. His friends have been fantastic."
Father of Ava-Jayne, 8, Anna-Lesa, 6, and Ariana-Sarah, 4, Adam also leaves mum Lesa Wade, dad Max Maqsood and brothers and sisters Steph, Bobby, Nabia, Sabia and Zaq and a large extended family. More than 500 people travelled from far and wide to attend Adam's funeral, which took into account the mixed Muslim and Christian heritage of the family.
"It was just overwhelming," said Steph. "Because Adam was mixed race it was the first 'blended funeral' they have done and the imam read it in English.
"In the Muslim religion the women say goodbye in the house, but they let us stand halfway down the street and we actually watched the whole service. The Muslim faith opened up its arms to us. It was just beautiful."
She added that despite their pain, it was a 'massive relief' for them when a link between the alleged assault and Adam's death was ruled out by police, adding that they are still waiting for official answers about how he died.
