Family's devastation after 'lovely mum' dies in sleep days after dad's funeral

A family were left heartbroken after their "lovely mum" died two days after her father's funeral.

Beverley Love, 53, "just didn't wake up" 48 hours after paying respects to her dad.

Her inquest on Tuesday heard the mum had taken an accidental overdose of prescription drugs before going to sleep.

Hull Live says Beverley was a “well-known” person in the community who was “loved by everyone”.

Speaking after the inquest at Hull Coroner's Court, Beverley's grief-stricken children said: "We are all devastated by the loss. She was a lovely mum but a mum in her own way.

"She had a big heart and must have kept a lot of pain to herself and it's just so sad that she went 48 hours after Grandad's cremation.

"We will miss her and not a day goes by that we don’t think of her.

"She liked her telly, as well as her ghost hunting and she was very spiritual and believed in the after life and always used to be watching Most Haunted.

"Mam loved music as well and David Bowie he was favourite singer. She also loved Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles and the oldies like that.

"She had her ways like we all do and she liked to have her family around her.

"She's a legend and loved her kids and grandkids - she had 13 of them and loved to see them."

Beverley, of Inglemire, Hull, was in a motorbike accident at just 17 and had to have her leg amputated due to the bike landing on her, which affected her for the rest of her life.

The gran used to ride around the estate on a mobility scooter, which the children called ‘the Batmobile’.

Speaking at the time of her death, Kirsty Buck, the woman's eldest daughter, said: “It was a shock for the family. It doesn’t seem real because she was all right. She was poorly but she was coping.

"My little brother Joshua looked after her every day. He never left her side. He is heartbroken.

“We had been to my grandad’s funeral and went to the Rampant Horse after and she was fine. The next day she was fine and then she just didn’t wake up. We still don’t know how she passed away.

“She was just lovely. She was always there for us. My mum grew up in Orchard Park, she was always there. She was well-known. Everybody  loved her.

"People have said they remember her love for motorbikes.

“She shaved her head once and my Nana went mental with her. She was a proper tomboy and was in with the lads."
