A family-run café which only opened in November 2019 is the latest business to be completed destroyed by Storm Dennis floods.

Owners of Canal View Cafe in Resolven, Neath Port Talbot have shared their devastation after discovering the café is submerged in sewage water.

Images show the full extend of the damage, which owners Darren and Emma Hughes say will cost "thousands".

"The café has been wiped out, the river bank burst and the water is 5ft high," Darren said.

The 46-year-old said that the café will need a total refurb.

"We don't know how long we are going to be shut for, it could be weeks or months.

"Everyone has been so supportive online."

The Upper Boat Inn, near  Pontypridd, is also submerged under water and is thought to have lost thousands due to the storm.

Storm Dennis has been causing damage across Wales with several areas badly flooded from heavy rain overnight.

On Sunday South Wales Police declared  the flooding in south Wales a "major incident".

The Met Office also issued a red 'danger to life' weather warning for  Sunday morning as river levels continued to rise.

Sadly, a man's body has also been discovered after he entered a river and was washed away during the storm.
