Family's desperate appeal to find missing Sunderland dad Ky Parker

A family is desperately appealing for help to find missing Sunderland dad Ky Parker.

The 37-year-old was last seen leaving a home in the Bede Street area of Roker, Sunderland at about 1am on Sunday, May 23.

His family said they became concerned after he failed to turn up for work and since then he hasn't been in contact with his loved ones.

He has been described as a white male, 5ft 9ins, of slim build with short brown hair and stubble and he is believed to be wearing jeans and a leather jacket.

Ky also has a distinctive tattoo on his hand of the TARDIS police phone box from Doctor Who which members of the public are urged to look out for.

Ky's family said his disappearance is "very out of character" and have set up a Facebook page called 'Find Ky Parker' to help spread the word.

They have also organised a number of search parties in a bid to find him with more planned this week.

His partner Charley Louise Smith said: "We all miss him and love him and want to know he is safe.

"Please contact someone, even if you don't want to contact me or your family just anyone who can let us know you're okay."

The family is appealing for anyone with information to contact them or the police immediately.

Northumbria Police confirmed officers are investigating the whereabouts of Ky adding that officers are growing "increasingly concerned".

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Inquiries are ongoing to locate missing Sunderland man Ky Parker.

"The 37-year-old was last seen leaving an address in the Bede Street area of the city about 1am on Sunday but has not been seen since. His family and officers are growing increasingly concerned.

"Ky is described as a white male, 5ft 9ins of slim build with short brown hair and stubble. He is believed to be wearing jeans and a leather jacket.

"Ky, or anybody who has seen him, are asked to call 101 quoting log 159 230521."
