Family’s desperate appeal for missing man whose phone was last located in Manchester

A family are desperately appealing for information to find a man who is missing from Scunthorpe. Craig Riddell, 28, was last seen on Thursday evening (June 29), but his phone was located close to the Midland Hotel in Manchester city centre on Friday.

Craig is believed to have no connections in Manchester, and his family are desperately appealing for anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to come forward.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, his sister Keriann Riddell said: “He hasn’t been seen since Thursday evening.

“His partner searched for his phone’s location on ‘Find My iPhone’ and it showed his last location as being close to the Midland Hotel and Bridgewater Hall on Friday at around 7.30pm.

“We have no reason to believe he has any connections in Manchester, we’re so concerned and are trying everything we can to help.

“This is just very out of character for Craig.”

Humberside Police, who are leading the investigation into Craig’s whereabouts, posted on Facebook: “Can you help us find missing 28-year-old Craig who is missing from Scunthorpe?

"We are concerned for his welfare and urge anyone who thinks they have seen him to call 101 quoting log number 522 of 01/07/23. Thank you.”
