Family-run shop announces closure after 10 years with 'a heavy heart'

A popular family-run shop has confirmed it will close for the final time on Christmas Eve.

Bosses at Kings Furnishings said they had come to the decision with a 'heavy heart' after serving customers from its base in Beardsalls Row, Retford, since 2011.

The store specialised in quality home furnishings, and also offered a "wide variety of giftware and seasonal items".

It has now launched its closing down sale, which offers 50% off everything, to customers before it finally shuts on December 24.

Its coffee shop will remain open and even be expanded in the new year.

The shop announced on its Facebook page: "It is with a heavy heart that we will be closing our furnishings side of the business on the 24th December! Our final sale starts tomorrow in which everything must go!

"Do come down and grab yourself a bargain.

"Please note the coffee shop is not affected in any way by the closure and we will be expanding our seating in the New Year so we can accommodate all of our lovely customers.

"Thanks for all your support over the last 10 years."
