A family pub has been hit with criticism after announcing they're planning to host a " sexy evening for gentlemen " featuring "live female dancers" and "private booths". The Cayley Flyer, based in Rhos-On-Sea, recently revealed that it's to stage hosting an 18+ club night this weekend.
And the move has split local opinion, with some claiming it will lower the tone of north Wales coastal resort - and those who think it's just a "bit of harmless fun". The adults only event is being brought to the pub on Saturday, July 16 by a company called Stand Out Entertainment Services and promises "a sexy evening enjoyed with beautiful girls."
Many have voiced their opinion about the event on Facebook. One resident posted: "Shocking. This used to be a great pub years ago" While another called the evening "a bit yuck - especially the private booths. Eww!"

A third added, "It's a family pub that serves food so not in keeping with that or the town and not good for it's location on the seafront."
Others, however, were less critical, reports The Daily Post. "Tacky? Yes. But I know of at least one pub in the Conwy area which regularly hosts ladies' nights with scantily clad men dancing - how is this any different?" asked one.

"If this was a Dreamboys kind of night for ladies only, nobody would bat an eyelid. Credit (to them) for trying something new," said another.
Some also saw the funny side. "Better ensure there’s a defibrillator outside (on the night) given the age demographic of Rhos-On-Sea," joked one.
A pub spokesperson also responded to the customer criticism. They denied the evening was "objectifying women."
"We are still a great pub and are trying something new to bring the community together and giving new opportunities to workers in the area," read the statement on the Cayley Flyer Facebook page. "It is not all it seems. It will be a night of dancing and singing to bring something new a different to the area. It's a different style of entertainment for one night. You don’t have to attend if it's not your cup of tea."
