The number of women using family planning is at a new high. The latest UN figures show 64% of women aged 15 to 49 who are married or living with a partner use some form of contraception, up from 36% in 1970.

Despite the progress, about 225 million women who want to delay or avoid pregnancy do not have access to any method of contraception. Barriers to access include a limited choice of contraceptive methods, poor quality family planning services and cultural or religious opposition. Young or unmarried people can face particular problems accessing services.

We would like to know how the data on contraception and family planning reflects your personal experiences. To take part, please fill out the form below. You can remain anonymous if you wish.
