The Dubois family will perform a charity piano concert in tribute to the late Tan Mong Choo, one of Thailand's most beloved piano teachers, at Goethe Institute, Sathon 1, on Friday at 7pm.

The Dubois are a family of accomplished concert pianists. Anna See Dubois is Tan Mong Choo's daughter, a piano prodigy who was born and bred in Bangkok before leaving to study piano abroad. Both Anna and her husband, Jean Dubois, are professors at the Conservatory of Music in Bern, Switzerland.

They will perform with their son Andre and daughter Rachel to raise funds for the Lerdsin Hospital Foundation. Andre is an award-winning pianist and a nominated professor at the Bern conservatory. Rachel teaches piano at the Conservatory in Argovia and practises Chinese traditional medicine in Basel, Switzerland.

The Dubois have performed several charity piano recitals in Bangkok, many of which were graced by the late HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana.

The upcoming family piano concert will feature a repertoire of Ravel's Mother Goose, Beethoven's Sonata In E Flat Major Op 81a Les Adieux, Prokofieff's Second Sonata Op 14, Rachmaninoff's Valse And Romance For Piano Six Hands, and Chopin's Sonata In B Flat Minor Op 35 and Fantaisie-Impromptu Op 66 in C Sharp Minor.

There is no admission fee but donations, which are tax-deductible, are most welcome. All donations will benefit the Lerdsin Hospital Foundation and needy patients.
