Family pays tribute to 'kind and dedicated' dad who died after bike involved in crash

Tributes have been paid to a 'kind and dedicated' dad who died after his bicycle was involved in a crash with a car.

Robert Eaves, 42, was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the collision on Dunham Road, Warburton, on Monday, May 25.

He later died in hospital.

Robert's family has since released an emotional tribute.

It read: "Rob was a devoted husband, dad, son, brother and friend.

“He was selfless, kind and dedicated to his family and work. His enthusiasm for work was shown by his amazing career, where he was one of the most valued members of every team.

“Rob had always been a family man that loved finding new adventures, one being moving to Switzerland where the family lived a fun-filled life, and making friends from all different nationalities.”

Officers were alerted to reports of a collision involving a blue bicycle and red Ford Tourneo Connect at 7.30am.

The collision happened at the junction of Dunham Road, Paddock Lane and Warburton Lane.

There have been no reports of any arrests.
