Family pay tribute to 'much loved dad' who died following 'disturbance' in Larkhall

Tributes have been paid to a 23-year-old man after he died following an alleged disturbance at a house in Larkhall.

William Wardrop was rushed to hospital after reports of an alleged disturbance at a house in Riverside Road around 2am on Friday.

Emergency services rushed him to Wishaw General Hospital where he tragically died a short time later from his injuries.

William's family said: “William was a much loved dad, brother and fiancé who will be sadly missed by us all.

"He will remain forever in our hearts.”

A 23-year-old has now been arrested and charged in connection with the death.

Detective Inspector Frank Travers said: “I would like to thank members of the community for their co-operation and assistance during this investigation.”

The 23-year-old arrested man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, 25 May, 2020.
