Family of young mum Bronagh Madden hosting a fundraiser in her memory

The family of a young West Belfast woman who took her own life last year are hosting a fundraising event in her memory.

Mum-of-one Bronagh Madden, who had suffered from epilepsy all her life, died on March 26 last year.

The family's fundraiser, which will happen this Saturday night, is in aid of suicide awareness and prevention charity PIPS.

The 21-year-old's aunt Kelly Bowen said: "We are really keen to raise awareness for the charity, and to get people to realise just how dangerous things can be when people feel low. We hope to make this an annual event."

The event is at 7.30pm on Saturday at the Clayton Hotel Belfast.

To make a donation, contact PIPS Belfast directly or get in touch with the Bronagh Madden Memorial team here where you can buy raffle tickets, even if you can't get to the event.
