Family of X Factor Tom Mann's late fiancée speak out on her tragic wedding day death

Dani Hampson's devastated family have paid tribute to the late 34-year-old who tragically passed away on the morning she was due to marry X Factor star, Tom Mann.

Singer Tom, 34, announced the sad news of Dani's death on Instagram on Monday evening.

Tom's wife-to-be, who he shares son Bowie with, passed away in the early hours of Saturday 18 June, on the same day the pair were set to say their 'I do's'.

In the announcement Tom, who competed in The X Factor as part of the group Stereo Kicks in 2014, said he had lost the 'love of his life' on what should have been the happiest day of their lives.

A number of days later, Dani's loved-ones have now shared their heartbreak after losing the 'beating heart of their family'.

"She was the beating heart of our family, the loving, successful, intelligent daughter who always put everybody before herself. And as a result, she was loved by everyone," Dani's father, Martin penned.

"Our family is devastated and utterly heartbroken. People say the hurt will ease in time, but as it stands we are broken.

"Danielle, we will love you forever."

Meanwhile, Dani's sister-in-law Helena Smith praised her 'selflessness' and mourned how she had so 'much life left to live with both Tom and 8-month-old son Bowie.

"The 18th was my birthday, and even though it should have been all about her, she still made plans around her own wedding weekend to celebrate me too," Helena shared in a heartbreaking post.

"I can never thank her enough for her selflessness and always, always putting other people first, even when she didn't have to. This day will forever now be a celebration of you.

"I looked up to you since the moment I met you Danielle, the big sister I never had and never knew I needed, a best friend. You taught me so much and I promise to use what I've learnt from you throughout the rest of my life, and to be there for Bowie always, I'm so happy I get to be his Auntie."

Dani's brother Andrew also took to social media to gush over his 'beautiful sister' in a heart-wrenching tribute.

"On what was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives ended in irreversible heartbreak.

"I feel like I have cried an ocean. We never made it to the alter; or got to say our vows, or dance our first dance, but I know you know that you were my entire world and the best thing that has ever happened to me, Danielle.

"I will wear this ring that I was always supposed to wear as a sign of my unconditional love to you.”

On raising their son, he continued: "I am completely broken trying to process this and I honestly don’t know where to go from here, but I do know I need to use any strength I can muster for our little boy.

"I will not be a mark on the parent that you had already become but I promise I will do my everything to raise Bowie just the way we always wanted. I promise you he will know how amazing his mummy was. I promise to make you so so proud.

“The most beautiful person inside and out. The most incredible soul. We have lost such a special person and I am sure we are about to see an abundant outpouring of love that reflects that. I will try to find peace in your messages and comments, but right now I am grieving and I will be for a very, very long time.

"My darling Dani, the brightest light in any room, my world is nothing but darkness without you. I will miss you forever."
