The family of a man shot on a nightclub dance floor appealed today for his killer to “do the honourable thing... give yourself up” on the 14th anniversary of his murder.

Daniel Ross, 22, was gunned down in Scala in Pentonville Road in the early hours on September 24, 2006.

Witnesses said a lone gunman walked up to Mr Ross before pulling the trigger in the packed venue. Paramedics tried to save him at the scene but he died later in hospital.

There have been no charges in connection with the murder and detectives have issued a £10,000 reward for information.

The victim’s parents said in a statement today: “We know that nothing can bring Daniel back but we can bring those responsible for his death to justice.”

Detective Inspector Will Reynolds said: “I would like to appeal to those present on that night, who have yet to come forward, to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
