Pug rushed to Glasgow vet school could lose his leg after being hit by car

The family of a pug hit by a car in Glasgow have launched a bid to help fund his mounting vet bills.

Jovi the pug was hit by a car and is currently at the Vet School in Glasgow receiving treatment - however his family say he is still "full of life".

Jovi has completely lost feeling in his left leg and has fractures in his right leg as well as his pelvis. He is receiving treatment and undergoing operations, however the family say it’s currently uncertain what his future holds.

Jovi's owner has launched a crowdfunder to ask the public for help.

She wrote on the fundraiser: "Jovi is 2 years old, he is a fit little man and is still full of life, he has a life ahead of him and we are prepared to face what we need to for him.

"Unfortunately as you can imagine this comes at a small fortune, we are thankfully in a position where we are able to pay the majority however have a small amount we still need to raise.

"Anything that can be donated is greatly appreciated, whether we raise the full amount or a small fraction of it anything is of great help to us. Thanks"

There is a chance Jovi could lose his left leg, however there is still hope that he will recover from the nerve damage.

""He is also expected to be in recovery for anywhere up to 4 weeks to ensure he is receiving the correct care and going through physiotherapy that is required.
