Family of missing Scots teen Jamie Cannon plea 'come home' almost two months after disappearance

The family of missing Scots teen Jamie Cannon have begged for him to come home as it nears two months since his disappearance.

Jamie hasn't been seen since around 10am on Thursday May 20 and was last spotted on Saltcoat's Kinnier Road.

The 19-year-old disappeared on his way to college but his bank accounts are currently untouched and his phone is still switched off.

His heartbroken family are desparate for answers as they scour local areas every single day looking for him.

A larger search also takes place for the teen every Sunday.

Jamie's cousin, Leeanne Graham, told the Record that his mum Lynn is devastated and the full family have 'put their lives on hold'.

The 37-year-old hospital worker said: "There still hasn't been any sightings and police are still searching.

"It is coming up on two months since he disappeared.

"There is currently a search team out just now looking and another one will go out next Sunday again.

"The family go out every day searching.

"It's the not knowing where he is, it's just heartbreaking for my auntie and uncle and all of the family.

"As time goes on his brothers are struggling now as well - they miss him.

"If anybody knows anything - if they're with him and he even just wants a bit of time to himself - get in touch to let his family know.

"It's hard for everyone in the family just now - juggling work and searching.

"If Jamie sees anything, he is not in trouble for anything, we just want him home.

'His family, we all just want him to come home."

Jamie is described as being 6ft 1in tall, with short dark hair.

When he was last seen he was wearing grey jogging bottoms, grey trainers, a blue jacket and was carrying a camouflage backpack.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 1623 of 22 May.
