Family of missing Scots dad Shaun Banner in desperate appeal six weeks after disappearance

The family of a missing Scots dad have issued a desperate appeal for help six weeks on from his disappearance.

Shaun Banner, 34, was reported missing from Invergordon and last seen on CCTV around midnight on Saturday April 23 near the town's railway station.

In a desperate appeal in a Facebook group today, his brother Alan said the family have exhausted all their efforts as he asked people to continue searching for Shaun.

He urged people to be vigilant as he hoped to bring his brother home.

The statement, signed from Shaun's family, said: "That’s us at six weeks now that Shaun has been missing.

"We have exhausted all of our efforts at this point and are being consistently told that if he is to be found that it’s likely to be someone who is out walking that’ll come across him.

"This just highlights the importants of being out and being vigilant when searching the shorelines and beaches.

"Please continue to do what you can and know that we appreciate you all giving up your time to search for Shaun and if you are please fire me a message or pop a post up on the page.

"Let’s get him home!"

"Please continue to Share, It’s important that people know Shaun still isn’t home yet so searches can continue."

Shaun, who is dad to daughter Tia, is described as being 5ft7, with short brown hair, blue eyes and of slim build.

He was last seen wearing green and brown Crofter work trousers, a grey Rogue Attitude puffer-style jacket, a blue RSE work top and grey, purple and blue Nike Air Max trainers.

Shaun's family confirmed last week that the shoe he was wearing at the time had washed ashore at Nigg Beach in the Highlands.

It was discovered by a search party and handed to police who now believe that Shaun possibly entered the water after he was last seen.
