Family of missing man informed as a body is found

The family of a missing Carluke man have been informed after a body was discovered in Lanark earlier this week.

Police Scotland confirmed that the body of a man was found at Mouse Water, Cartland Craigs, Lanark, at 11.30am on Wednesday, March 4.

The man is still to be formally identified but the family of Maurice Benyon - who had been reported missing on Wednesday, January 29 - have been informed.

The death is being treated as unexplained however there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.
