Family and friends of a young Scots mum who tragically lost her life in an incident near the M9 have appealed for an applause at Ibrox in memory of the “loyal” Rangers fan.
Courtney McNiven, 24, tragically died on October 9 after emergency services were called to an incident on Bo’ness Road, Polmont at around 2am.
Friends and family paid tribute to the popular young mum on social media.
Loved ones have now called on Rangers fans to applaud the mum at the 24 th minute of the match against Hearts at Ibrox on Saturday.
They say the applause would be a “fitting send off” for the “loyal” supporter.
A member of Courtney’s family posted the plea on Facebook, stating: “Our beautiful girl suddenly gained her wings on Saturday at just 24 years old.
“Was just wondering how we would go about getting an applause for her in the 24th minute of the game on Saturday against Hearts.
“A loyal supporter of the boys in blue it would be a fitting send off for a beautiful girl.”
The 24-year-old was taken to Forth Valley Hospital but died a short time later.

One said: “RIP Courtney McNiven another one gone far too young. Hope you are in peace now beautiful, my heart goes out to your family! You were such a lovely girl.”
