Family live full time in a converted school bus - with their seven children

A family who live full-time in a converted school bus have shared a look at their cramped living quarters - detailing where all nine of them sleep each night. Parents Britney, 34, and JD, 37, have seven children and all of them live in the converted bus together, but thankfully it's more spacious than you might think.

They've had to be creative with space, but now they spend their days driving around America and live, quite literally, on the road. Britney started documenting their day-to-day life on TikTok and recently they shared how the two parents, alongside Gunner, 11, Kinsey, nine, Schofield, seven, Audie, five, Swift, four, Uriah, two, Quil, four months, fit into the bus.

What do you think about life on the road? Let us know in the comments...

Taking to TikTok, where she uploads as @jdandbritney, Britney said: "When you walk into our living room space, we have two long couches with six seat belts attached.

"These slide out on both sides and make a big space for movie nights. We have tons of storage and power outlets for our electronics.

"Also our bed drops from the ceiling."

The family say they are "having a blast" and have been living in the converted bus for around four years.

Even though their home is quite big considering it's a bus, it's still a squeeze to fit them all in.

Britney continued: "While we were thinking about building the bus we realised a space dedicated to the master bedroom would be a waste for our lifestyle.

"JD and I tend to be early to rise and our goal was to make everything as functional as possible without sacrificing anything. When designing the bus we knew we didn’t need a master bedroom to lounge around in, but the kids sure love to hang out in theirs.

"The two U-shaped bunks were originally planned to be built into private spaces similar to tour buses, but the kids prefer them open for now.

"When they were little, bedtime was easily set for the same time for everyone.

"As they've gotten older, Gunner and Kinsey have Paperwhite Kindles with the unlimited plan allowing them the opportunity to stay up and read later than their siblings.

"We also rotate through the top four oldest for staying up late with mum and dad 'past bedtime'.

"With our unconventional lifestyle, weeks straight of hiking National Parks, new museums and cities, thankfully falling asleep isn't really a problem we have.

"Occasionally JD has late calls for work and the living room couch space left open allows us different bedtimes.

"Similarly the open kitchen area provides room for starting coffee in the morning or the occasional late-night pregnancy craving.

"One last thing… I really appreciate having the bathroom space separating our 'master' from the bunkhouse.

"It gives more of a privacy space to sleeping even in this smaller square footage."

Britney and JD have amassed thousands of views over countless videos, and their fans seem impressed with their lifestyle.

One wrote: "What an amazing family you guys have created. I feel so privileged to have the opportunity to observe your lives. Thanks for making your experience"

And another said: "It seems beautiful to me."

Then a third commented: "Your home is awesome!"
