Family left heartbroken after heirlooms worth £12,000 snatched in break-in

Burglars escaped with this stash of £12,000 worth of jewellery.

The haul was taken during a break in at a family home in Manchester.

A property on Great Western Street in Rusholme was targeted between 3pm and 7pm on October 21st.

The collection is of huge sentimental value.

The homeowners were inside the address at the time of the incident but thankfully no one was injured.

PC Michelle Higginbottom, from GMP's City of Manchester district, said: "The items of jewellery stolen were of great sentimental value to the family and have been in the family for a number of years.

"We're doing all we can to trace those responsible and we're keen to locate the stolen jewellery.

"Anyone who may have seen the jewellery or anyone with any information should call us on 0161 856 6139 quoting crime number CRI/06A2/0019691/20.

"Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
