A fundraiser has raised thousands of pounds after the tragic and unexpected death of a 30-year-old dad.
It has raised over €230,000 (£195,000) to help the grieving family left crushed by the dreadful loss of a Dublin father in recent weeks, reports the Irish Mirror.
Christy Miley was only 30 and a father of three when he was tragically killed in a workplace accident.
The hardworking father from Dublin, Ireland, had set off to work as normal, but sadly never returned, leaving behind his heartbroken partner Shelly, 28 and their young daughters, Heidi, 7, Maisie, 4, and Harlow, 2.
And sadly just before his death, the family has acquired planning permission to build their "forever home" in Valleymount, Co Wicklow.
Following his death, a fundraiser has been launched to provide a home for the family "that Christy would be proud of".
The GoFundMe page launched last week had set a target of €200,000 (£170,000) which was surpassed in just four days on Sunday.
Organisers of the fundraiser thanked the generosity of those who were moved by the tragic story that led to more than €230,000 (£195,000) being raised so far.
A spokesperson for The Christy Miley Memorial Fund Committee said: "Never in our wildest dreams did the Committee believe we would reach our goal by Sunday 14 of November at 2pm.
"It was truly a global response. The Committee wish to thank each and every one of you who donated from €5 to €2,500.
"This venture for a truly worthy cause has made us so humbled and so Proud to be Irish or living in Ireland", its testimony to the high esteem that the Miley/Keating family are held in. Please don't stop here, keep donating and sharing. Thank You."
