A brand new craft whisky distillery has launched on a farm on the outskirts of Glasgow.
A family business, RAER whisky finds its home in the village of Jackton, near East Kilbride.
Their spirit is for both 'seasoned whisky drinkers and newcomers alike', while the water and barley for the whisky is sourced from the farm itself.
The family say the distillery is 'the shared dream of three generations now being realised'.
Describing the whisky, the team behind the distillery say: "RAER [rare] crosses generational divides and encourages debate between seasoned whisky drinkers and newcomers alike, to enjoy this precious tipple their way; whether straight, on the rocks or in a special cocktail.
"This is the shared dream of three generations now being realised. Our family business was born of a love of our national drink and a desire to forge a community around whisky.
"Not only do we have our own source of water at the farm where Jackton Distillery is located, we are now growing our own barley to ensure that we will provide the freshest, highest quality products to our local community and the wider world."
